(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Referring to the Islamic awakening wave that has swept the Middle Eastern and North African countries, Ayatollah Jannati emphasized that the American statesmen should learn lessons from history, because people cannot be dealt with through the use of force.
He further underlined that the US was finally forced to leave Iraq after a ten-year military presence in this war-torn country; massacre of innocent people; and destruction of Iraq’s infrastructure.
In further remarks, Tehran’s interim Friday Prayer leader referred to anti-Wall Street Movement in the US and many other countries, worldwide, as the manifestation of international community’s resistance against the capitalist system, while adding that the masses of people have stood firm against the capitalists.
Ayatollah Jannati also referred to baseless allegations about Iran’s involvement in assassination of Saudi ambassador to Washington, as the political delusions of American statesmen.
On the recent offense in Iran’s banking system, Ayatollah Jannati called on the Judiciary to identify and introduce the offenders.
In the beginning of today’s Friday Prayer sermons in Tehran, Ayatollah Jannati extended his condolences on the anniversary of martyrdom of the 9th Infallible Imam of the Prophet of Islam, Mohammad (PBUH) Household, Imam Jawad (AS).
